September
Welcome back to school! This is always an exciting time of year. Many families feel ready for the routines and schedule of the school year after the relaxed and fun summer. Kids are excited, and parents too. Parents are often curious about the new norms of their children's classrooms. But, asking a million questions at the end of the day is not always the best way to get the information we are looking for. Try some of these questions to give you insight on how your child is doing in the classroom.
- "Let's see what you brought home." Allow this to guide a conversation about learning.
- "Describe your favorite activity of the day." Gain information about your child's like and dislikes as you find patterns.
- "Who did you sit with at lunch today?" This can provide insight on how your child is connecting socially.
- "How did you show kindness today?" Promote a kindness as an important character trait.
